James 1:27

One small hand
One small heart
One small dent
In the orphan ocean

We have three grandsons and one granddaughter, and soon we'll be holding our newest grandson. My daughter and son-in-law are adopting from the Congo and will hopefully have Baby M soon.

His small hand
His small heart
Their small dent
In the orphan ocean

They have worked hard to fill out truckloads of paperwork and fund this adoption.  Labor pains. Foreign adoption is labor intense in all different kind of ways. And the costs are almost unattainable. You can read about their story here: www.beforeandafrica.blogspot.com
They've received a matching grant from LifeSong Orphans, click below if you'd like to help.*

Many giving hands
Many open hearts
Our small dent
In the orphan ocean

I can't help thinking about this small boy, thousands of miles from his forever family. God knew this little one before he was even formed in his mother's womb, so we wait and trust and hope and pray and wish the time would hurry up.

Waiting hands
Waiting hearts
God's big plan
In the orphan ocean

If I was stranded on a desert island and could only have one font ~

Not to be confused with vocation.

And now a few postcards from the peninsula:

Having a great time, wish you were here.

Next stop:  Gulf of Mexico

I could get used to this.

Verse(s) of the week:

I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. – Leviticus 26:12

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;  for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Hebrews 4:9 &10
